
Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 Opponents Revealed
Nigeria’s opponents in the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) group stage have been announced, and they’ll be facing some tough competition.
Here are the countries in each group:
- Group A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
- Group B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
- Group C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
- Group D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
- Group E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
- Group F: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
Nigeria will be up against Tunisia, Uganda, and Tanzania in Group C. The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the round of 16. The tournament is set to kick off on December 21, 2025, in Morocco.
