The Ojúde Ọba Festival of 2025 in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, was a grand celebration of Yoruba culture, themed ‘Celebrating Our Roots, Preserving Our Future.‘
The event highlighted traditional attire, music, and equestrian displays, significantly boosting local tourism and economy.
Under the guidance of His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the festival has become a global cultural event, promoting unity and heritage. Attendees and observers praised the festival for its vibrant display of culture, with particular admiration for the participation of youth and the spectacle of the event.
However, there were mixed feelings about the presence of celebrities, with some feeling they overshadowed the indigenous participants.
