Pasuma Escapes Suspected Thug Attack in Osun State

Popular Fuji musician Wasiu Alabi, widely known as Pasuma, reportedly survived a frightening attack by suspected thugs on Friday in Ikire, Osun State, while en route to a musical performance.

The incident came to light after a viral video surfaced online showing the aftermath of the assault. The footage captured a black bus emblazoned with Pasuma’s image and a white Toyota Hilux riddled with visible damage, described by onlookers as “marked by holes” believed to be from bullets and stones.

In the background of the video, a distressed voice — believed to be a member of Pasuma’s entourage — could be heard recounting the chaos. Speaking in Pidgin English, he said: “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. This is Pasuma’s car. They carry gun shoot us, but God dey.”

Despite the violent ambush, Pasuma and his crew emerged unscathed. The singer later took to social media to calm growing concerns among fans and well-wishers.

“Myself and the entire crew are safe and sound. I appreciate everyone for reaching out. THANK YOU ALL. #OneLove,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and local authorities have yet to issue an official statement.
