Super Eagles Striker Victor Boniface Extends Bayer Leverkusen Contract
Victor Boniface has put the rumors to rest by extending his contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2029 according to sky sports. The Super Eagles striker’s new deal is a significant upgrade, doubling his annual salary from €3 million to €6 million.
Boniface’s impressive performance in his debut season, where he scored 21 goals and provided 10 assists, earned him the Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award for 2023/24. His success has been instrumental in Leverkusen’s resurgence, helping the team win the Bundesliga and DFB Cup titles, as well as reaching the UEFA Europa League final.
While this extension puts an end to speculation about his future, it’s worth noting that Leverkusen might still be open to selling Boniface if an offer exceeding €50 million comes in. Nonetheless, this new contract is a testament to Boniface’s value to the team and his growing reputation as a top-class striker.
