Tyrique George broke the deadlock just four minutes into the second half, slotting in a rebound after Reece James’ effort was saved. Noni Madueke then scored twice, courtesy of Jadon Sancho’s assists, with his second goal coming just 25 seconds after Christopher Nkunku’s penalty was saved by Kacper Tobiasz.

The win gives Chelsea a significant advantage heading into the second leg at Stamford Bridge on April 17. They will face either Djurgarden or Rapid Vienna in the semi-finals, should they advance.
